American Principles Vanishing
The Patchwork Papers
AMERICA IS WHAT IT IS BY THE PEOPLE'S CONSENT
no excuses, no alibis and no victims
by
Dorothy Anne Seese
Every day I get some request to sign a petition to "keep America from
going
down the drain" or some such language. It's always my last chance to
place
my name somewhere that "I" can make a difference, where the petition will
go
to our Congress and stop everything from people hugging trees to same sex
marriages to preserving our freedoms and constitutional liberties. My
foot! Our constitutional liberties started down the drain around 1865
and
they haven't stopped, although until September, 2001, the facts weren't
as
obvious as they are now. And it's even more obvious that the loss of our
freedoms is not so obvious to most Americans because until it hits their
pocketbooks they don't give a spit. Americans vote their wallets, not
their
liberties!
This is now a nation of some 280 million souls from the newborn to the
aged. Perhaps 10 to 20 million of these are illegal immigrants, aliens,
whatever you wish to call them, and some of them vote. I'm sure they
really
care about our American heritage, tradition, culture, customs and the
original purpose of founding the United States. No they don't, they like
the
giveaways, handouts and good living for which they have to work a helluva
lot less (if at all) than they did back in their native land.
We have an appointed Supreme Court that has stretched its jurisdiction
over
constitutional matters so thin you can read the phone book through it.
Has
anyone reined them in? Is there a general move to impeach? No! There
are a
few petitions running loose on the internet and a lot of whiners who are
never going to do anything more than whine.
Our military is getting sick of being in Iraq and losing buddies every
day
at the hands of those who were supposed to be grateful to us for
"liberating" them, while a man in England lies dead for telling the BBC
about the "sexed up" information that was supposedly given to Prime
Minister
Tony Blair and relied upon by U.S. President George W. Bush in his great
State of the Empire address earlier this year. Well shades of Vincent
Foster, just an ocean apart.
Isn't this enough to make the American public sick? Or were they so
conditioned by the thirty-nine bodies in the wake of the Clinton rise to
power that our nation is just a shadow away from being run by Tony
Soprano
and his boys? Even if Tony Soprano were elected or appointed to high
office, would Americans care? Oh, some of us would still be on the
internet, spitting in the wind about the fact that our once highly
regarded
nation has hit the skids, we're now just short of being a police state
and
the One World Order has taken over from the shadows behind the
leadership.
The fact is, fifty-six men pledged their "lives, fortunes and sacred
honor"
to establish a nation in which people could prove that liberty is the
best
means to secure a productive and honorable nation. Most of them had to
give
all three in the cause of liberty. We don't have that caliber of people
around now, we have nanny-state sucklings who speak PC all over their
workplace and then come home to cuss about it, or write about it, but not
gather to organize to change it, by ballot, bullet or pulpit.
People are "shocked, I say, shocked" at the spread of the legalization of
homosexual marriage. Why? We've been nannying the homosexual agenda for
twenty years, going to movies and watching television, attending on and
off
Broadway shows glamorizing the homosexual lifestyle, allowing the
children
to be taught this garbage in school while moms whine out of hearing shot
of
the school officials, lest their kids get expelled or they get on the
principal's blacklist.
Now the Supremes (not the musical group) wrap their sanctimonious black
robes around homosexual unions and the natural outcome of "sowing and
reaping" has caught up with us. Shocked? I'm shocked it hasn't happened
earlier! How long do twit-brained Americans with a federal
indoctrination
(misnamed education) think that the propaganda machine can crank out
sewage
day and night and expect a bouquet of flowers to emerge from the pile of
filth? Flowers grow from seeds and a little fertilizer is needed, but
fertilizer, not human sewage. We've buried ourselves in our own
excrement
and told ourselves that we're growing tolerant. No we aren't tolerant and
we
aren't adherents of diversity, we are stinking idiots.
After more than 200 known/admitted deaths of "coalition" forces in Iraq,
as
a result of our invasion of a sovereign nation whose butcher of Baghdad
was
no worse than the Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe we don't touch, and the
deaths
of uncounted Iraqi citizens, civilians for the most part, numbering at
least
in the thousands if not double-digit thousands, American citizens are
still
supporting President Bush, the warhawks of his cabal, and his pal Tony
(Blair, not Soprano). How can this be? One soldier is honest enough to
tell the press that "Mr. Rumsfeld should resign" and he's probably
setting
himself up to meet with either a court martial or some fatal accident.
But
it won't be reported. We're a land of free speech except for the
military.
However, it is this writer's position that when the military is right and
the commander-in-chief is wrong, dead wrong, the military and all of it
from
General Franks and his replacement on down should say "no more, we're
coming
home."
They probably could if most Americans were behind them and not Bush II.
It
was easier to get rid of George III in 1781 than it is to get rid of
George
II in 2003-2004, unless this WMD mess of lies disillusions his staunch
followers into a major Election 2004 revolt, then what do we have as an
alternative? Ketchup Kerry, a fellow Skull and Bones zillionaire? We do
not have a viable third party in this nation and unless and until we do
have
one, there is no chance of putting a stop to the rampant globalization,
tax-rape of citizens for unjust wars and nanny states, and any semblance
of
a return to the kind of liberty our forefathers envisioned.
And none of these thugs could have gotten into office or stayed there if
Americans voted integrity instead of their wallets. Clinton won a second
term by popular belief that he was bolstering the American economy, no
one
bothered (at least on major media) to tell the people their "economy" was
a
giant balloon headed for an oversized stickpin from Alan Greenspan's
magic
hat.
America is where it is because the American public refuses to become
involved in anything that might jeopardize their personal idea of life,
liberty and the pursuit of licentiousness; they refuse to believe there
is
such a thing as a shadow government ruling from behind the invisible
curtain
and they refuse to believe our leaders and our major media would lie to
them. As a consequence of this mindlessness and self-delusion, we have
an
America our founders never intended and a future that is more than
uncertain
as far as being a future at all.
Thus we can conclude that America today is what it is with the consent of
the majority of the people who will not take a stand for the America our
founders envisioned. They love their relativism, the licentiousness, the
"tolerance" of the intolerable and the fun and games that used to be an
affront to public decency. They shriek at NAMBLA but for how long? "For
the children" is just a stupid slogan to get tax increases passed and
when
it comes to raising children in an environment once considered proper and
within moral boundaries, someone heads to court with an ACLU lawyer in
tow
to sue for their "constitutional rights."
All right ... this is our America! It's one even our soldiers are
beginning
to hold in contempt because of unjust wars and undue hardships that came
out
of a "liberation" movement that was supposed to be a piece of cake. Well,
the knives didn't cut the cake, they went into the backs of US military
personnel, if not as knives then as bullets or grenades.
Life today in the US is very cheap. Apparently it's very cheap in the
United Kingdom (formerly Great Britain) and if life is cheap in the
nations
that supposedly lead the free world, what business do we have pointing
the
finger at human rights abuses in other nations? The housecleaning begins
at
home, not abroad.
Well voting public ... if I'm still around when Election 2004 arrives,
I'm
not voting for either an elephant or a jackass, I'll vote for someone
else
if I have to write in my own name!
That's called voting my conscience. Nothing else is.
Mercy ... I wish Tony Blair and George Bush would take advantage of our
new
laws, get married and retire on a permanent honeymoon to some Caribbean
island and take their cabals with them. If any two people deserved each
other for a lifetime of wedded bliss, it's those two.
But let's hear no more excuses from Americans about what is wrong with
America. It's the damned public that was brought up on the nanny state,
nothing else and nothing less. Yes we still have Real Americans in this
nation but don't make Falwell's error of calling them any kind of
"majority." We're a vocal minority and how long we'll be allowed to be
vocal is now in question.
If you doubt that, try and form an armed militia. Since all 10
amendments
known as the Bill of Rights depend on the second, the right to keep and
bear arms, that's the one that's under attack immediately if any of our
serfs try to arm to defend their constitutional rights.
Your neighbors will look the other way if you are shot or dragged away.
Believe it.
